With love and friendship always at its core, Fundación Ama Amoedo seeks to create a lasting impact on the contemporary Latin American art ecosystem, expanding its visibility across the globe and fostering the careers of emerging artists.

Fundación Ama Amoedo Artistic Residency (FAARA), the Foundation’s first initiative, aims to provide a space for research, work, and creative reflection, offering a retreat in nature in José Ignacio, Uruguay.

The Foundation was established to formalize the patronage of Amalia Amoedo, who has been collecting and supporting artists for more than two decades. The Foundation’s goal is to actively collaborate with artists and institutions that work towards deepening the understanding of Latin American art. In addition, it will encourage the artistic production of the younger generations, developing programs that promote diverse artistic visions and perspectives.
